Ford 3000 draft control adjustment.

The biggest thing I found was that the draft position lever was out of adjustment (about 50% off). Adjusted per the I&T manual. Flushed the system with some diesel to clean it out, changed the o-rings / gaskets, adjusted the draft position linkage, primed the hydraulic pump and it works great.New member. As JMOR says, you are compressing springs as shown in the picture. Selecting Position control moves the pin onto the cam as in the picture. There is little lubrication in the area of the cam and pin so the pin wears when you use Position control and if you constantly use Position rather than Draft, the pin has a limited life.
